Hotel Directions

The Rome Central Inn is a short distance from the Roma Termini Station, the main railway hub of the city. In fact, getting here could not be easier. If you are coming from Fiumicino Airport (FCO), there is direct Leonardo Express service to Termini-32 minutes travel time-from where it's about a five-to-ten minute walk to the hotel. Exit the station on Piazza dei Cinquecento and take either Via Cavour or Via del Viminale down as far as your destination address but note well: Roman sidewalks can get quite bumpy and also crowded so while rolling heavy luggage might involve some effort it's still a relatively quick-and definitely straightforward trek that saves you having to pay out another fare.

If you are landing at Ciampino Airport (CIA), the shuttle bus (Terravision or SitBus) will drop you off on Via Giolitti, which runs along one side of Termini Station. From there to your hotel is also a short walk, though again either through the station or around it to get to the hotel side. In case you do not want to walk with your bags, then from the official taxi stand at Termini a minimal fare would get you into this hotel-but ironically possibly even more time than walking due to discover about[1]one-way traffic systems and all that congestion in the station area.

Beyond arrival, the hotel's location offers easy access to public transportation for the remainder of your stay. You are just minutes away from both Repubblica Metro station (Line A) and Termini (Line A and B). Line A is very useful because it takes you directly to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain-(Barberini stop), and Vatican Museums-(Ottaviano stop). Also, this is where almost every city bus route begins or ends at Piazza dei Cinquecento in front of Termini; therefore, alternative routes to any destination abound without expensive private transfers.

Do not rent a car if you are staying here. The hotel is either inside or just on the border of the ZTL (Zona Traffico Limitato- cameras fine heavily unauthorized vehicles entering the area), parking in this central zone is extremely scarce and expensive, upwards of 25-30 Euros per day in private garages. Unless you are planning a road trip out of Rome immediately, stick to the excellent train and metro connections available at your doorstep.
